Lobularia! New, Improved and Oklahoma Strong!
White Stream Lobularia is a new type of alyssum that will survive the heat of Oklahoma summers. It is blanketed in stunning, dainty clusters of white with a sweet honey fragrance. It is a spreading annual that only grows to a height of 4 to 6 inches and 12 to 18 inches wide. This makes it an excellent choice as a ground cover or foreground planting n flower beds. It is also useful as a spiller in mixed containers, hanging baskets, and window boxes.
The leaves of this variety are fine, linear, and pale green or gray-green. In mid to late spring it becomes covered with dense, showy clusters of tiny four-petaled flowers that emit sweet, permeating fragrance which is attractive to butterflies. This variety is fast growing and floriferous. This variety also does not require deadheading.
Lobularia grows best in moist, fertile, well-drained soil, and is a full to partial sun exposure flower. It thrives in the heat, is easy to grow, and will bloom from spring until frost.
