These bright evergreens, kin to the true deodars, are of a smaller stature than their cousins. Its attractive, conical form in youth and venerable elegance in old age lends distinction to any garden.
This Cedar forms a narrow pyramid of pendulous branches covered in bright yellow-green foliage that would cheer-up any garden, especially in winter. Though smaller in stature, the Gold Cone keeps true to deodar style with its strong central leader and layered, weeping branches. It’s also a fast grower and since it puts more energy into vertical growth rather than horizontal, it takes up less space and can be accommodated in most any modern garden. It would make a bright vertical accent in your garden that would draw the eye at all times, and make a wonderful contrast to darker plants.
